My name is Glisenys Heyward. I am of Afro-Carribean background and a proud mother of three amazing adult sons. I have made the Seattle, Washington area my home for the past 14 years. I have dedicated my life to helping others through my professional work within education and through the relationships I have built with friends along the way.

Glisenys Heyward brings over 25 years of experience providing social and emotional support to parents, young adults, and families within classroom and community settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from Lehman College and has dedicated her career to empowering individuals through compassionate, client-centered care.

Glisenys specializes in addiction counseling (Substance Use Disorder) and is currently expanding her expertise as a Domestic Violence Intervention Treatment (DVIT) counselor in training under the Washington State Department of Health. She offers personalized counseling sessions tailored to each client’s unique needs, focusing on equipping individuals with practical tools to foster meaningful change in their lives. She believes that you have to look within to find the inner voice and stories we tell ourselves to enable real life transformation.

Glisenys works with virtual clients experiencing challenges with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Her holistic and empathetic approach creates a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking to reclaim control over their mental health and well-being. She is not currently accepting new patients.
