My name is Glisenys Heyward. I am originally from the Dominican Republic and proud mother of three amazing sons. I have made the Seattle, Washington area my home for the past 20 years. I have dedicated my life to helping others through my professional work within education and through the relationships I have built with friends along the way.

Glisenys Heyward brings over 25 years of experience providing social and emotional support to parents, young adults, and families within classroom and community settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from Lehman College and has dedicated her career to empowering individuals through compassionate, client-centered care.

Glisenys specializes in addiction counseling (Substance Use Disorder) and is currently expanding her expertise as a Domestic Violence Intervention Treatment (DVIT) counselor in training under the Washington State Department of Health. She offers personalized counseling sessions tailored to each client’s unique needs, focusing on equipping individuals with practical tools to foster meaningful change in their lives.

Glisenys is currently accepting new virtual clients experiencing challenges with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Her holistic and empathetic approach creates a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking to reclaim control over their mental health and well-being.
